WhatsApp Metro Card Recharge via Chatbot for Delhi NCR Announced Here’s How to Do it

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for metro commuters in Delhi and NCR. In the latest feature, WhatsApp users can now recharge their smart cards issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) through a dedicated chatbot on the instant messaging platform. Apart from the top-up service, it also offers other services like buying tickets, viewing past transactions and contacting customer support. Recently, DMRC has also partnered with Airtel Payments Bank to offer digital payment benefits to commuters.

WhatsApp says that users can avail ticketing and chatbot services on the app on both Android and iOS platforms. The feature is available in two languages: English and Hindi and can be activated by sending a text ‘Hi’ to +91 9650855800. Apart from this, DMRC Chatbots can also be found in the ‘Chat with businesses’ option in the Payments section of WhatsApp.
