YouTube testing New Features get Google Lens Button live chat summaries channel QR codes

YouTube has shared its new testing features which will soon be available for some channels. These include AI live chat summary, Google Lens search and QR code for channels. It is worth noting that these new features will be only for a small group of users who are part of the YouTube Experiment Program and may not be available to the general public.

YouTube Official Page According to, YouTube’s AI live chat summary will only work for channels that live stream in English and have “super active live chat conversations”. Such channels will get a special banner at the top of the live chat with the option to summarize the comment section.

YouTube Google is also bringing Lens to the search bar. A small percentage of users on Android will see a Lens button in the search bar that will allow them to search for content on the world’s second most visited website.

Channel QR codes will provide creators with a quick and easy way to share their channels with others. Users will get the option to generate a QR code from their profile. YouTube Shorts is also getting a new Effects button that allows user-generated effects to make long-format videos more engaging. YouTube has confirmed that Shorts Effects will roll out to more users later this year.
