According to media reports, the woman and her husband claim that Amazon’s customer support kept them on hold for over two hours, leaving them to handle the issue alone in the middle of the night. However, the couple has reportedly received their order money back.
Amazon HelpX responded to Tanvi’s post, saying “We are sorry about the issue you experienced with your Amazon order. We would like to investigate it. Please provide the required details here and our team will get back to you with an update.”
Tanvi’s post went viral on Instagram, where many users commented and expressed their concerns. One user commented, “First Zomato delivered a severed finger. Then, Air India served a blade with food on its flights..Now!, Amazon delivered a snake.”
Another commented that “Looks like Amazon took its name a little too seriously this time. Instead of a controller, you get a real wildlife adventure!,
In a similar incident last month, an Amazon customer received a used laptop. Rohan Das ordered a brand new Lenovo laptop with an MRP of Rs 1,39,890 from Amazon, but he received a used laptop with a warranty till December 2023. He wrote in an ex-post, “Amazon scammed me! @amazonIN is selling old products as new. Today I received a ‘new’ laptop from Amazon, but it was already used and the warranty started in December 2023.”
