To put it simply, till April this year, the number of BSNL’s 4G sites was 3,500 4G towers. This has now increased to 10 thousand towers. The company has been planning to launch its 4G services across the country for a long time.
In a post, the company wrote, Celebration of 10 thousand 4G sites under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. This is for self-reliance and seamless connectivity! According to a report by TelecomTalk, BSNL has created a base of 8 lakh 4G users in the initial phase by launching 4G in northern states including Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Western Uttar Pradesh. The company is working closely with Indian companies to launch 4G networks.
BSNL wants to provide 4G services in those rural areas where no other company’s service has reached. The aim is to provide connectivity to those areas which are lagging behind in facilities. Users who are currently connected to 2G and 3G networks will be brought to 4G network.
