Hyundai Exter Celebrates Launch of 1st year of Exter, Launches Knight Edition


South Korean automobile company Hyundai has introduced the Knight Edition of the micro SUV Exter on the completion of one year of its launch. More than 93,000 units of Exter have been sold. It competes with Tata Motors’ Punch and Maruti Suzuki’s Ignis.

The interior of the Knight Edition is in black colour. No mechanical changes have been made in it. It has a 1.2 liter petrol engine. There is also an option of 1.2 liter bi-fuel petrol and CNG engine, which can generate 69 PS of power and 95.2 Nm of torque. It is available in both manual and automatic variants. Preparations are being made to launch the electric version of the company’s large-selling SUV Creta. Earlier, Hyundai has discontinued its first electric vehicle Kona in the country. Hyundai has removed Kona Electric from its website. It was not updated since its launch. The company has said that it will launch its new electric vehicle early next year. This will be the electric version of Creta. Hyundai plans to launch four EVs in the country. Recently, Creta sales exceeded 10 lakh units. The company also plans to create a local supply chain for important components of the EV.
