The mission will go even higher than the ISS
There is a plan to take the Polaris Dawn Mission even higher than the International Space Station. It will go about 700 kilometers above the Earth, while the ISS is present at 400 kilometers above the Earth.
Astronauts will try SpaceX’s spacesuit
According to reports, the astronauts flying under the mission will do a private spacewalk for the first time. SpaceX’s spacesuit will be used during this. It is said that this will be the highest human space flight after the Apollo Moon missions launched in the 1960s and 1970s.
Polaris Dawn Polaris program is divided into three missions. Its funding and command is with Isaacman. Lieutenant Colonel Scott Poteat will be the pilot in the mission. Mission specialists Sarah Gillis and Anna Menon will also be a part of it. Both are also operations engineers in SpaceX.
The important thing is that the mission was to be launched in the year 2022. But it has been delayed. There was hope of launching the mission earlier this year, which has now come to a halt in July. If this mission is successful, then the field of spacewalk will open up new dimensions in the future.
