Xiaomi has launched SU7 in China in entry level variant, Pro variant, Max and Limited Founders Edition. The company claims that the top-end Max variant has a top speed of around 265 kmph. It can reach a speed of 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.78 seconds. Its Limited Founders Edition has dual motor and four-wheel powertrain. It gives a power of around 986 bhp. It can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 1.98 seconds. The range of its Max variant on a single charge is around 810 km and the base variant is around 700 km.
It has two battery options. Its entry level variant has a 73.6 kWh battery pack and the top variant has a 101 kWh battery pack. Xiaomi can also bring a bigger 150 kWh battery pack next year which will have a range of up to 1,200 kilometers. These batteries support ultra fast charging with 486V architecture. EV sales have grown rapidly in China in the last few years. China is also a big market for Tesla. However, for the last few months, the company is facing tough competition from Chinese EV makers like BYD. Xiaomi’s SUV7 can also become a challenge for Tesla.
