Xiaomi CEO has been using various social media platforms to give updates to fans in both Chinese and global regions. Use and explained in detail about the company’s new smart factory. On both Weibo and X, Lei Jun shared videos that gave a tour of this unmanned smart factory. Talking about some of the major features, the factory has been designed to remove micron-level dust. It can work 24 hours a day without people. Apart from this, the machines in the factory can cooperate with each other.
The new factory is spread over 81,000 square meters. It is also certified as a “National Smart Manufacturing Benchmark Enterprise” with an annual production capacity of 10 million flagship smartphones. The factory will produce upcoming foldable phones – Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Pro And Xiaomi will handle the production of MIX Filp.
Jun says that the production quality of the factory will be controlled by self-developing intelligent machines. It is claimed that the production process can make one smartphone unit every second. Lei Jun said in the video that the smart factory is a small step towards exploring the future for Xiaomi, which has just begun.
Xiaomi has invested 2.4 billion yuan (about Rs 2,755 crores) in such projects to improve its production quality and processes.
